We have put together a list of the answers to most common questions to help get you up and running smoothly.
1. Where can I find instructions for “Ultimate Charades”?
Use the large buttons to choose which topics you would like to see suggestions from, they light up blue when selected. You can either select a single topic like “Movies”, or get suggestions from a number of topics at once – just choose topics appropriate to the particular game variation you want to play.
When you are ready for a suggestion, hide the screen from your teammates and tap the green “Suggest” button. Text will light up on one of the buttons to indicate which topic the suggestion came from, and the timer will start. Your team has until the pre-agreed time to guess the suggestion correctly.
The clock beeps every 30 seconds. If your game gets interrupted for any reason, tapping the clock will stop and start it.
2. How do I edit my suggestion list?
Tap the “i” button at bottom right of the screen to bring up a list of the topics available. Choose the topic you want to make changes to, this will bring up the list of suggestions for that topic.
- Edit suggestions by selecting the line it occupies.
- Delete suggestions by tapping the red “-” then the delete button that appears.
- Add suggestions by tapping the icon at top right of the screen.
Being able to edit suggestions means you can customise the game to include the things you and your friends care about- whether it’s to remove characters and shows that you don’t feel are relevant to your group, to add songs from your favourite artist, or to totally delete the entries from a category and replace them with the characters from your favourite show. It’s your game, you can do with it as you will.
3. I messed up, can I restore my original suggestions without a reinstall?
If you need to restore the original suggestions at any point, go to the Settings app and find this app there. Move the reset slider to ON, then close down the app fully (or restart your device).
When you next run the app you will be asked if you want to reset the data .
4. How do I turn the sound effects off?
You can disable sound from the Settings app. Find this app’s settings, then move the mute switch to the ON position.
It may take a few page changes within the app before the app picks up the change.
