“FAQ” Holds The Answers To Effective Customer Support

New iPhone and iPad app, “FAQ”, solves the problem of how to efficiently reply by email to all your most frequent customer questions, right from your mobile device.

The best apps are often those written to solve a need shared by the developer, as this means they fully understand the problem they are trying to solve. “FAQ” is one such app, designed to answer user support questions quickly and efficiently (or for any other situation where you might want the elements you need to compose emails at your fingertips.)

Peter Johnson, of developer Soluble Apps, has plenty of experience of this process as an increasing number of new users contact them each and every day for support on their popular group email app “MailShot Pro”. Soluble have gained a great reputation, and even better review scores, at least in part due to the level of support they provide.

Peter said “We feel that each customer should be treated as an individual. Although the questions we receive often cover many of the same topics, each enquiry we receive reveals differing amounts of supporting information, levels of expertise, or asks a different combination of questions. We know that our customer relationships see benefits from a more personal approach than just sending a stock reply, but we also felt that we were repeating ourselves too often, and doing far too much typing on the iPhone and iPad keyboards.”

After finding that other apps weren’t up to the task, Soluble developed “FAQ” to handle it.

FAQ makes customer support much less repetitive, as you use it to hold answers to the most common questions you receive, along with reusable elements like opening and closing phrases, and supplemental information (including images or web links). The items you select are quickly combined into a response, ready to mail out (or copied to the clipboard, ready to paste back into a reply.)

FAQ can also be used in many other situations where you may need to repeat information to customers, such as warnings and disclaimers, instructions for finding your offices, stating office hours etc.

FAQ is available on the App Store for iPhone 4S,4 and 3GS, iPad and iPad 2, and recent models of iPod touch.
