Since the changes brought about by iOS9, a few users have asked for the ability to send or forward email to multiple MailShot groups more easily, so we have added this feature in a new update, released today.
On the page that lists your groups, tap “Multi”, select your groups, then tap “Send”.
Obviously, any limitation imposed by your email provider on the number of email addresses per message will still apply, so MailShot displays a warning message if you try to send to more than 99 addresses.
As you add groups, the title bar of the app will change to display how many unique addresses you currently have selected.
You can also use Multi selection in the new MailShot share extension, introduced a few weeks ago, which allows you to share documents, photos and weblinks directly to MailShot groups.
The function to change the ordering of groups has been relocated. Select a group, tap “More”, then “Sort Groups”, you can now change their order with the grab handles that appear.
NOTE: Occasionally users report a problem when apps are updated through the App Store. If you are unable to start the app following an update, please turn your device off and restart it (you should see a white Apple logo) then run MailShot again.
You can read all about the new iOS9 features on our iOS 9 page, or find the answers to more general questions on our Support Page. As always, if you have any problems, please drop me a line from the “Support” button in the app.
If you would like to help us to continue to develop MailShot to make the best of iOS9, a new or updated review on the App Store would be very welcome, as all our reviews and scores are reset every time we update the app. (A shortcut for this is provided from the “Rate” button in the app.)
MailShot Pro works with iPhone 6S+, 6S, 6+, 6, 5S, 5c, 5, 4s, iPod touch, iPad, iPad mini, and Pro. It is available now on the App Store.
MailShot works with iPhone 6S+, 6S, 6+, 6, 5S, 5c, 5, 4s, iPod touch, iPad, iPad mini and Pro. It is available now on the App Store as a free download that can create small groups. An in-app purchase removes those restrictions. No recurring subscription is necessary.
Peter, Nice features!
