Suggestion Box is a unique app for improvisers and storytellers. Now on Apple Watch.
We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0 of “Suggestion Box“, our app for improvisers, and storytellers. You can also use the app when playing charades and similar games, or to help with fresh ideas when you want to tell your child a story at bedtime, or work with them to create their own story. Just tap any of the colourful buttons to see a suggestion from that category.
The revised app now includes support for iOS 8 and the larger display sizes on iPhone 6 and 6 plus, as well as iPad.
It is also our first to include support for Apple Watch, allowing you to get suggestions from the entire list featured in the main app, directly on your wrist.
Try it out, and let us know what you think.
Suggestion Box works with iPhone 6+, 6, 5S, 5c, 5, 4s, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch, and is available now on the App Store.
I know it’s been all “MailShot, MailShot, MailShot” around here for the past few weeks, but an updated version of our previous product, “Suggestion Box” has just gone live on the App Store.
It is an idea generator, intended for use as a rehearsal aid for improvisers and drama students. Uniquely it allows you to combine suggestions onscreen, and to customise the suggestion lists for your needs.
The update adds 20% more suggestion-y goodness, particularly in the “Objects” and “Emotions” categories.
Suggestion Box went live yesterday- Yay!
Here is the promo video I made to illustrate its features.
UPDATE: and I got my first review, a 5-star, without any funny
business required. Thank you “Pupslover”, whoever you are!
Apple approved Suggestion Box, my first app, for the App Store over the weekend. I’ll be setting it to “available” when I return from my weeks holiday, so I have time to complete a promotional video for it and prepare press releases etc.
It’s a busy week for me, I am also hoping to have MailShot ready for submission before I go, so that it doesn’t get caught in the AppStore backlog over Xmas.
I have spent the past week or so updating my “Suggestion Box” app ready for its first submission. It is an idea generator for use in improvised comedy and drama.
After feedback from Ian McLaughlin and Bev Fox from The Suggestibles (probably the best-known and most long-established comedy improvisation troupe in the North of England) I have added a few new big features…
One is the ability to edit the suggestion lists. This is pretty great as it means you can make sure all the suggestions given are relevant to your audience or fellow participants. This probably affects the “Characters” and “Accents” categories most as there is quite a difference between good suggestions for a UK and US audience in those areas. It also means you can add REALLY local celebrities and places that a local audience can relate to, or might have suggested.
The other is the ability to collect multiple suggestions at once. Press the main buttons as usual to get suggestions in the desired categories. Then, when you get one you like, just tap the top line to add it to the pool at the bottom of the screen. A single tap of the wipe button clears the pool to start over.
You can also now copy the edited suggestions file from iTunes, allowing you to copy the data across to someone else’s device so they can benefit from your edits.
I hope you enjoy the new features.
